Lois Whittall is a licensed psychologist who specializes in providing assessment and therapy. Her experience includes working with adolescents, adults, and older adults.
Dr. Whittall obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) from Teesside University in Middlesbrough, England in 2004. Her career began with an emphasis on health psychology at the James Cook University Hospital, where she worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings. During her time with the psychology service she expanded the role of clinical psychology into the renal medicine and diabetes care services and was facilitator for the pain management group. After moving back to Pennsylvania she completed the process for state licensure in 2017.
Dr. Whittall has experience working with people from many backgrounds presenting with a variety of psychological problems including depression, anxiety, and life transitions. Her integrative approach utilizes cognitive, behavioral, and dynamic perspectives in order to best respond to each client’s unique needs and concerns. Working together towards positive goals, she supports clients to explore their feelings and experiences, gain a better understanding of their strengths, and develop healthier, more effective problem solving strategies.
